Stardale Intern for review and development of curriculum 

Position Overview

Stardale is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Intern to support the organization's initiative to convert its Indigenous youth suicide prevention and mental health programming into comprehensive digital educational resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze existing Stardale program content from 2013-2024

  • Assist in developing four foundational educational units based on previous projects

  • Create comprehensive curriculum materials that reflect the Stardale Model's holistic approach

  • Coordinate the development of digital links for photos and video content

  • Support the digitization of legacy programming materials

  • Collaborate with Indigenous youth and program leaders to maintain cultural integrity

  • Assist in preparing digital resources for online platforms or potential mobile application

  • Ensure proper documentation and organization of program materials

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Education, Indigenous Studies, Social Work, Mental Health, or related discipline) or working on their master’s degree. 

  • Extensive experience in program development and curriculum design

  • Strong understanding of Indigenous educational methodologies

  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Proficiency in working both virtually and in-person

  • Ability to work collaboratively through interviews with Indigenous youth and community leaders

Compensation

  • Fee for service: $6,000 monthly 

  • Contract position that must be completed by December 31, 2025
